Replacement Options for Micron 2450 SSDs
Review replacement options for Micron 2450 SSDs with Edge. Share your part number, host requirements, and evaluation schedule.
Tell us your existing Micron 2450 part number and system requirements. We’ll review current options, lifecycle information, and samples for your team to evaluate.
Options for evaluation
The Micron 2650 NVMe SSD is a PCIe Gen4, DRAM-less M.2 client SSD on Micron’s ninth-generation TLC NAND. Other Micron client families to discuss, depending on your requirements, include:
- Micron 2600, a QLC client NVMe series in M.2 from 512GB to 2TB, where cost per system matters most;
- Micron 3610, a QLC client NVMe series in M.2 reaching 4TB, where the slot needs more capacity;
- Micron 4600, the PCIe Gen5 client series, where the platform is moving to Gen5 throughput.
Do not treat a series name alone as proof of interchangeability. Confirm the form factor, capacity, security configuration, firmware behavior, thermal limits, and host support against the exact replacement part number before approving the change.
Starting Part-Number Cross-Reference
The table lists earlier 2450 and 2550 part numbers alongside 2650 candidates. It is a starting point for evaluation. Confirm the complete ordering code, configuration, and current availability before ordering.

When requirements change
If your existing form factor or configuration no longer meets the program’s needs, tell us which requirements can change. A migration may require a different form factor, interface, or system design. We can discuss options with you and coordinate samples and manufacturer technical input.
